Connect Learning - 6 Steps to Successful Connections with Families

Is this you?

  • You know you need to engage with parents but you don’t know where to start
  • You’ve tried different ways to engage parents but they are not responding or seem disinterested
  • You’ve had little, if any, exposure to professional learning in how to engage with parents and you are feeling overwhelmed by the very thought of it
  • You struggle with self confidence and you’re not sure how to even start a conversation or communicate with parents
  • You’re time poor and wondering how to engage effectively with parents in the time you have, to support your students
  • You feel anxious prior to meeting with parents and you want to make sure you are prepared in advance
  • Your school doesn’t have a strategy or supports in place to effectively engage with parents to support students.

You know it's time to take action for your own peace of mind, personal and professional development when:

  • Your health, wellbeing and personal life is impacted
  • Your students are behaving poorly and you need support to understand them
  • You’ve tried some strategies but you’re not reaching parents
  • You’re so anxious about meeting with parents that it’s causing you to reconsider your choice of profession
  • You would rather avoid any contact with parents so you don’t have to ‘deal with them’.

Perhaps what you really wish for is:

  • confidence in yourself and how you interact with others, especially your students and their parents

  • skills to manage internal thought processes and how to overcome limiting beliefs
  • skills to manage overwhelm, anxiety and how to stay calm when the role becomes challenging
  • increased knowledge of how to communicate effectively to build trust with parents
  • to be equipped with skills to prevent challenging conversations, to be proactive rather than reactive
  • a partnership approach with parents where you feel supported and part of a team to guide your students
  • deeper understanding of your students from the parent perspective so you can teach them more effectively
  • a strategic approach to building trust with parents to support your students
Here’s what other educators had to say about this course
and how quickly they were able to implement the strategies they learned:

This 12 week group coaching and self led online course is the ultimate step by step guide to building trust with parents so you can feel confident, empowered and ready to engage parents as partners in learning!

It takes many different skills to know how to build trusted relationships, particularly in schools when time is limited and your students are your main focus.
Parents are often the last on the list of priorities but you know that for your students to succeed in their learning, you need to engage with parents.

• Developing your own AWARENESS of what is required to engage with parents
• Being a part of a whole school CULTURE, with a leadership team who believe and value the roles parents have in their children’s learning and development
CONSISTENT implementation for you to witness results both in your own development and that of your students
EVIDENCE based training, drawing from experts in various topics, for you to develop your skills and knowledge with simple strategies to implement
• A clear STRATEGY that provides a step by step process to implement year after year with new families and students
• A SUSTAINABLE approach that is based on human behaviour and neuroscience, as well as parent engagement strategies that can be implemented by any person in any school across the globe.
