“All of the work Rachel has produced has been of the
highest quality and when we have shared what has
been achieved with other people in the education field
we have received overwhelmingly positive feedback.”

Research Consulting Brand Development

Parent Engagement Action Team

Our relationship with St. Mark’s began in 2009 when asked to design a marketing survey and strategic plan. This led to the development of a clear vision, brand strategy and marketing communications to increase enrolments.

The brand development continued with the development of a successful family-school partnerships culture, particularly focussed on building family engagement capacity, exploring the current community and their engagement with their children’s learning.

Many initiatives were the result of several years of working with the community on cultural change in attitudes, developing strategic direction and implementation of the vision of a child-centred school where every child and family matters and has an important supportive role in education.

Through our ongoing coaching, consulting and strategy development, together we achieved:

• Positive teacher/parent relationships and a culture of a partnership approach to learning

• Welcoming and strong community connections both within the school and with external organisations to assist families and develop children’s learning and wellbeing.

• Parent Leadership through a Parent Engagement Action Team and empowerment to continue to develop initiatives for a partnership approach to learning.

• Communication – internally and externally to increase awareness and enrolments, improve internal relationships and build the connection between school and home.

St. Mark’s has experienced successful cultural change that has resulted in increased staff morale and confidence, successful student transitions into Prep, each year level and into secondary school, improved wellbeing strategies and school wide understanding of the importance of the wellbeing of all for learning, increased parent and teacher participation in events and supporting learning at home.
